Testimonials
My wife and I and our ten year old son love to attend Kate's yoga classes, both private and group. She is a maverick teacher who keys in on each individual's needs at the moment and uses both traditional and novel yogic tools to work with them. A lot of laughter spices her classes, and her usual buoyancy graciously serves her student's discipline. In her classes seriousness of purpose always plays with irreverence in a gentle container of curiosity and rigor. Pushing one's yogic limits was never so much fun!

I started taking yoga with Kate at the ripe old age of 49, and, wow!—has it changed my life! I could kick myself for not starting all of this years ago, but here I am—enjoying every minute! Class with Kate has been transformative. She has the wonderful, intuitive, ability to know what is needed—and what isn't! Her focus is not on "adherence to form" but, rather, on using yoga as a means for establishing a deeper connection with body, with mind, and with our world. She gently encourages exploration beyond current limits by allowing the body and the mind to open and expand. I've realized that I haven't needed a lot of perseverance or discipline to keep coming to class; my commitment comes directly from the enjoyment and benefit of finding better balance in my life—the best sign of a practice that's working!

You’ve asked me what I’d like to do. That’s very, very nice of you! Could we please pose like standing bows, while holding onto our big toes? Then squeeze our knees, and stand like trees, swaying gently in the breeze. Then you could give us expert tips, on how to open up our hips. And then we all could squat like crows, while breathing briskly through our nose. We’ll try to do it without groaning. And we could end the class with toning. And then lay down upon the floor. And get relaxed, but do not snore. So lets get started—I can’t wait. I’m sure this class will be just great!!!
